Structured and Non-structured

What is the difference?

The most common type of cap is a baseball cap.   It is one of the best examples to understand a structured cap. Generally, the baseball cap has six panels sewn together. If the front two panels have buckram inside, the cap gains support and doesn’t lose its shape when not worn. These caps are known as structured caps.

What is an As the name suggests, unstructured caps have a softer and collapsible crown due to the lack of an inner structure. If taking an example of a six-paneled baseball cap, the front two panels will not have buckram inside.

Low, Mid and High Profile

What is the difference?

High profile baseball caps are designed to offer greater coverage and sun protection than low profile caps. They typically have a taller crown and a more curved bill, providing better shading for the face and eyes. Choose a high profile baseball cap if you have a large head or if you want a loose fit. However, keep in mind that it could get blown away if there is strong wind.

If you're looking for a baseball cap that's not too high and not too low, a mid profile cap is a good choice. These caps sit in the middle of the height spectrum, and they have a straighter bill.  They won't block your view as much as a high profile cap, but they'll still give you some sun protection.  Choose a mid profile baseball cap if low profile ones are too small for you and if you prefer a slight structure to your head.

Low profile baseball caps are a popular choice for both casual and athletic wear. Unlike traditional baseball caps, which have a curved brim and a tall crown, low profile caps have a shorter crown height and a flatter bill. This design helps to keep the cap snug on your head, making it ideal for activities like running or hiking. Choose a low profile baseball cap if you have a small head or simply want something lighter. Low profile baseball caps are popular among women for this reason.
